Pregnancy Start - What is Gender Selection?
Today, with all the new technology, it is possible for parents to have a decision in the gender of their children. There are many ways in which this can be done from artificial insemination, drastic diets, separated sperm, dyed sperm, timing of intercourse and even the position of intercourse. Some of these may be myths while others really are working for couples all over the world.
Some studies show that if you have intercourse on certain days during the fertile time you can predict the sex of your child, while others believe you should use more than one method to ensure that you really get the gender that you desire.
Gender selection through scientific methods is of course, a controversial subject; you will hear all kinds of reasons why you should not be able to choose the gender of your children. From the balance in society to it being immoral. This subject can also cause couples many fights and arguments if one parent wishes a girl while the other one wishes to have a boy.
Choosing the gender of your child should be a personal one. If you would like the option to choose then you should read all the literature that is available concerning methods, risks involved, and above all else be certain that both of you desire the same sex child before moving forward. If deciding the gender of your child is going to be a major problem in your household, it would be best left alone and let nature take its course.
Making a decision on gender selection should be a private and joint decision between the parents, just as whether to have a child should be a mature decision.
